Like to go solar but think you can't afford it? Well think again! Making the switch to solar has never been easier. The current government incentives, tax credits and utility rebates can save you up to 60% or more on a solar energy system. Don’t delay since these incentives change quickly and will not last forever.
Utlity Rebates
The various utility companies are currently offering as much as $3.00 per watt towards the purchase of a new solar system. On a 5 kilowatt system that equates to a rebate of $15,000.00!
Federal Tax Refunds*
The current federal tax credit for a residential solar system is 30% of the total sales price after the utility rebates has been taken. Additionally this credit can be taken over multiple years to suit your specific financial situation.
Federal Grants*
Newly implemented for commercial solar systems is the federal grant. This award compensates up to 30% of the total sales price (before rebates!). It is paid within 60 days of application or system start-up (whichever comes later).
State Tax Refunds*
The current State of Arizona tax refund is $1000.00 for residential and 10% of the total sales price for commercial solar systems.
What’s the Bottom Line?
Advanced Energy Systems generally has the utility rebate assigned directly to us and paid after the system has passed all inspections. This leaves the remaining balance as the financial consideration for the purchaser and is paid to AES in installments through the installation process. Tax refunds and/or grants are handled directly by the purchaser.
